Red, White & Virginia Blue

Razor Hill is a partnership of Lauren Smith (vocals, violin, ukelele), Holly Breivik (vocals, uke bass, mandolin) and Jim Lawrence (vocals, guitar, mandolin, harmonica) who perform original, traditional and contemporary Appalachian, Irish, 60s-70s and bluegrass music.

Songs listed below include The Wind and Rain - an old Scottish ballad via Appalachia, Limerock - a Texas two-step and Virginia Summer Day - an original tune by Jim inspired by a day on the banks of the Rappahannock River in his hometown of Fredericksburg, Va.

All three tunes are part of a project on which they are presently at work at local Wally Cleaver's Recording in Fredericksburg, tentatively entitled Minor Details.

Their repertoire consists of lovely ballads and rollicking fiddle tunes, executed with beautiful voices and nimble fingers.
